| 3 Complementing the Queensland government health vision, the Department of Health and each of the 16 HHSs in Queensland have developed a strategic plan to each identify its vision, purpose, objectives and performance indicators. HHSs are statutory bodies with a governing board, accountable to the local community and the Queensland Parliament, via the Department of Health. The boards of each HHS have expertise to manage large, complex healthcare organisations and to drive improvements in health outcomes. HHSs are committed to providing a range of services aimed at achieving good health and wellbeing for all Queenslanders.
